In the density histogram, the vertical axis representing ‘probability density’ indicates the likelihood of observing different values of NRW per capita per day within the dataset. Specifically, for any given value on the horizontal axis, the height of the histogram at that point reflects how common or frequent that particular NRW value is in the dataset. This allows for a more nuanced understanding of the distribution of NRW across countries, showing not just the number of occurrences but the relative frequency of each occurrence, standardized across the entire range of data.
