Juliana Subtil Lacerda

Dr. Juliana Subtil Lacerda is a Lecturer at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Juliana's research lies at the intersection of evolutionary economics, environmental science and innovation studies. A focus of her work has been on low carbon innovation, especially in the energy sector. Juliana holds a PhD in Ecological Economics (summa cum laude) from the Institute of Environmental Science & Technology (ICTA) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona as well as a MSc in Environmental Science from the same institute and an MSc in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). Juliana was a visiting researcher at the CERNA/Écoles des Mines in Paris and at ETH Zürich. After her PhD, Juliana worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) focusing on climate services for renewable energy, and as Assistant Professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University.

Prior to her doctoral studies, Juliana gained practical experience working at General Motors (Brazil) and Elring Klinger (Germany), as well as a lecturer in several MBA courses at Unisinos University.
