Cheryl Desha is an Associate Professor and Head of Civil Engineering (Nathan Campus) within the School of Engineering and Built Environment, Griffith University (Brisbane, Queensland). She has also founded the Adapter research group within the Cities Research Institute, focusing on interpreting and visualising secondary data for meaningful problem-solving. Together with colleagues from The Natural Edge Project and the Collaborative Urban Health Partnership, Cheryl has been working for two decades in private industry and academia, building capacity for resilient and liveable cities, co-authoring more than 100 publications including 7 books. She is committed to fostering globally connected, local action towards cities that thrive.
